October Favorites

The month of October has been a giant step (beauty wise) for me; throughout this last month I decided to chop off the majority of my hair, experiment with new lip colors, venture into the world of face masks, and search for a new hair routine to style my new medium length hair that didn't involve a ton of heat. Are you sure you're ready to hear about all my daily favorites for the month of October?

Let's start with hair care. At the top of this list, my number 1 product that I have been repurchasing for the last year now is my It's a 10 leave-in plus keratin spray. Guys, if you have not tried or even heard of this spray yet, I think it's safe to say you have been living in a cave. I am in LOVE!  It leaves your hair feeling so smooth and silky and honestly, it is definitely worth all of the hype. With 10 healthy benefits including detangling, heat protectant, replacing of lost proteins, and much, much more, I can pretty much guarantee that you will fall in love with this spray just as much as I have. It is super easy to use, just spray it on the ends of your hair after shampooing and conditioning and comb through. So simple, and not a big hassle for those days when you're in a hurry. Am I selling this product to you yet? I am? Great! I would love to hear how well this product works out for you, please, let me know!!

Now, for those days when I don't have enough time to wash my hair I have been using my Suave professionals keratin infusion dry shampoo. Retailing for as low as $2.88, this product is pretty dang good if you ask me. My hair tends to be extremely greasy (gross, I know) when I don't wash it everyday so when I invest in a dry shampoo it better be absorbing all the oils in my roots, this one does just that. My only problem with this product is the smell, it kind of smells like baby powder so if that doesn't bother you then this product would be perfect for you. Recently I have been browsing around looking for a alternative better smelling dry shampoo and I picked up the Got2be Rockin' It dry shampoo. Hopefully I enjoy that one just as much as I do this one; I'll keep you updated.

Since I cut my hair short, I've been trying to find different ways to style my hair without the ends flipping out or my hair just going totally crazy on me. For those days when I want a no fail hair style, I just curl my hair into loose beachy waves. Since I have been using more heat on my hair since I've cut it, and I still want to maintain my healthy hair, I have been using TRESemme's thermal creations heat tamer leave-in spray. I spritz this through my hair a few minutes before applying heat and I feel like my hair still has that silky and shiny look about it after I finish curling/straightening it; my hair still feels lively and healthy.

Most days when I'm getting ready for work I'm usually running late and struggling to get out the door in time, so when it comes to my makeup routine it seems to be pretty basic. I don't use a lot of products in the morning because, well, you know, I'm lazy. I would say 99.9% of the time you can find me using my Covergirl BB cream tinted moisturizer with SPF 15. I find it really good at evening out my skin tone and it even has sunscreen to protect your skin in it, you really can't go wrong with that.

I have always been known to be a ''chapstick type of girl"; you will never find me without my chapstick in my pocket or purse, it is like a huge habit of mine to constantly be reapplying some at all hours of the day. This month I have been using the Softlips mint with a hint of vanilla chapstick and I have been loving it. I've always been a huge fan of Softlips so whenever they come out with a new flavor I'm all over it. You know what? Now that I'm thinking about it, I really need to go apply some more of this stuff! See what I mean? It's truly addictive!

I guess you could call me a mascara junkie, if you saw the mounds of mascara I own, you would understand; it's an addiction and I'm proud to say, I'm not at all ashamed of it! Within the last month and a half I am proud to say that I have found my holy grail status mascara of all time! My Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara has been a close love of mine for this last month and a half. The name is slightly questionable but you don't even seem to care or even notice for that matter after you apply it to your lashes. I have never seen more glamorous lashes in my life, it seriously makes your heart race and you feel like the most beautiful person in the room. It gives the most voluminous lashes I have ever seen and my they become so girly and glamorous. If you are looking for a mascara to volumize your lashes, look no further, I even have a link for you! Oh, and have you seen the commercial for this mascara? SO GREAT! It is seriously so cute! You can watch it here. Really, just take the two minutes out of your day to go watch this video, it will bring a smile to your face, I promise!

After my day's work, I have been removing all my face makeup with my Yes to Cucumbers soothing hypoallergenic facial wipes. I'm not going to lie, at first I could not get over the fact that they were going to smell like cucumbers and it was just going to be weird. I had a coupon to try one of the Yes to Carrots products so I sucked it up and purchased the facial wipes. I didn't care how weird smelling they were going to be, I was going to try them out. I heard so many great things about them and I needed to find out myself it they were worth the hype. These cleansing wipes really got me hooked. The smell doesn't bother me nearly as much as I thought they would which is a complete bonus! All in all, these facial wipes get the job done and that's all I really need in my makeup wipes so they are a winner for me.

Whew, now that we got all of my favorites out of the way, let me know what some of your favorites were for the month of October! I would love to hear from you and perhaps try out some of the products you have been loving too.

Happy November!

Sincerely,
Latisha
