the lineup
It's been a fast week filled with lots of San Diego adventures. We leave to go back home tomorrow; I'll be sharing more of our adventures later this week, but for now, you can catch all of my adventures on my Insta stories. As for this next week back home, I'll be catching up with work and hopefully getting involved with things that spark my interest and bring inspiration with getting back to the daily grind. That's the hardest part about coming home from a fun filled vacation for me, finding things that get me excited about the simple and daily activities of life.
what's been on replay
I mentioned Nathaniel and I getting into Riverdale in my last Monday Edit post, we watched a few episodes on the plane ride to California and we've seen a couple while relaxing in the hotel room as well. I'm really enjoying it, they definitely are really good at leaving you hanging at the end of the each episode so you're pretty much bound to watch one right after the other!
what I've been loving
Lately I've been on a dress kick, which is actually a little disappointing because I actually don't have a lot of dresses, but I'm definitely working on that one!
I've been wearing this floral dress lately, it's super comfy and thin but not to the point of being see-through. It also has super cute ruffles with an open shoulder; It's probably one of my favorite ones in my closet at the moment. I bought mine on sale a few weeks ago in store but I have it linked here in case you want to take a peek!
what's on the menu
This topic is probably my favorite this week, San Diego food is extraordinary to say the least. I'm also a sucker for seafood and with us being right on the Pacific, the fresh fish is just incredible! Last night we went out to celebrate the graduation of Nathaniel's sister and of course Father's Day at The Marine Room. It was probably the fanciest place I've been but you definitely get what you pay for. Our dinner was served at the ocean just as the sun was setting. I was telling Nathaniel as we were watching the sky transition into night fall that I remember growing up, I was huge into the ocean life, I was actually obsessed (which is funny because I had never actually been to the ocean living in Montana my whole life). I used to put together puzzles designed by Christian Lassen, the ones of the sun setting on the ocean; I adored all of the colors and how they just flooded together, just seamless. The sun setting on the ocean last night reminded me just of that; it was absolutely stunning and breathtaking.
