I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend! It's been so busy with the holiday and new changes at school, which I'll be sharing with you today!
If you're subscribed to my blog already, you would know that I've been attending the Toni&Guy academy for eight months now (wow, time sure flies by)! I've been so happy to have learned so much about the Toni&Guy community; within the last year, our instructors and directors have been making some arrangements in secret. Our Toni&Guy school will be switching into The Beauty Institute of Schwartzkopf Professionals as of December 1st. No one in our student body had the slightest clue this was all happening behind the scenes until it was presented to the school two weeks ago. We experienced a whole week dedicated to learning Schwartzkopf Professional techniques and colour theory; there was hands on learning, digging into the products and colour line and a lot of sitting and listening to the changes that would be made to the school in the December and January time frame.
I really think it's an awesome opportunity that us as cosmetology students get to learn two entirely different colour lines and techniques. Not many students get that experience; it'll better ourselves and give us a little more experience than the average beauty school student.
I'm excited for the journey ahead and all the other opportunities that lie in front of me. I have about six more months in school to learn so much more than I ever imagined I would in my career.
