Lace

Hi beautiful!

Lately, I've been falling in love with the fashion industry a little more & more each day; let's be honest, the beauty industry & the fashion world pretty much go hand in hand! I really love that aspect of the industry because you don't have to choose one or the other!

I've also been subscribing to multiple fashion bloggers, you can find my top five pick in the side bar. I really admire all of these bloggers & their style, some are more simple than others, but they still find a way to make an impact! For many of these bloggers too, they share more affordable options which are easy to access and for those of us who are college students, it makes it easier for us to incorporate how we want to express ourselves through our appearance!

When I said I've been falling in love with fashion, I really meant it! I find it fascinating that people can create such unique articles of clothing with some thread and a needle. The patience they have and the talent they can bring to the table really intrigues me!

For today's post I wanted to share with you my outfit of yesterday incorporating one of the pieces that I recently made personally! I am super excited to be sharing this with you, I was extremely happy with the way it turned out & I hope you all enjoy it too! It'll definitely be a staple piece in my closet! I've really been into layering coverups & jackets with different tops to get the most out of my closet and really help change up my look! I think this lace kimono will be beautiful for transitioning into fall, the colour is just absolutely perfect! I think it'll pair beautifully with a wide brim fedora (I'm all about hats recenently)!

My white tank is from Old Navy from forever ago! I wish they still had them available because they are probably my favorite fit ever, I can't seem to find anything else that is as comfortable and as durable. Where do you find your favorite white tees?

To top it all off I paired it all with some black denim! I could forever live in black high-waisted jeans, they are my absolute favorite! They are a staple in my closet, I pretty much wear them every day of the week, I just find them to be more comfortable and flattering on myself. It was probably the year of wearing all black while attending cosmetology school that really triggered my love for black denim! The black gave the outfit a little bit more structure while still keeping it casual!

Of course with the delicacy of the lace, I wanted to pair it with softer accessories to enhance rather than distract; I paired this outfit with a few pearls & thin gold bangles. This kept the "romantic vibes" of the lacey features.

I absolutely loved the process of creating something totally unique & original; I received so many compliments on my overlay that day! It felt good to be able to tell people that it was an original made by yours truly! I am in the process of another  project & I can't wait to share it with you all; it'll be a fun one! Until then my friends!

XOXO,
Latisha
