Monday Edit #16

the lineup

In all honesty, I've been a little uninteresting this week. Not a whole lot of groundbreaking events happening this week, but I do have some favorites that I want to share with you!

what I've been loving

If you keep up with my Instagram stories, I'm sure you've seem my little haul I did last week showing some pieces I recently picked up from Zara. I've definitely been on a basics kick and I've been on the hunt for the perfect white tee for months now. I swear, all the white t-shirts I've seen and own are ridiculously see through. But I finally found some that have the best neckline, the sleeves are a little bit longer which is exactly the right fit I'm looking for. I also picked up the same style with a white and red stripped. I'll leave a link for them here, you'll definitely want to check them out, they're only $8! I may have went back to pick up a few more this week in black, would there be some judgement if I picked up some more white ones? I could literally wear them for the rest of my life and be perfectly content because t-shirts and plain straight leg jeans equals the recipe for the perfect outfit.

what's been on replay

I'm almost ashamed to let you in on how many episodes of The Office I've watched this week. It's safe to say that this show has definitely been on replay this week, I'll leave it at that.

what's on the menu

We had one of the best brunch dates at The Cottage in La Jolla on Saturday this past week. Nathaniel and I have both been on a benedicts kick, it's pretty much our go to when we decide to treat ourselves to a morning out and it would be pretty predictable to say that that's exactly what we had that morning. Needless to say we devoured everything in front of us; we've heard good reviews on this little spot to begin with and they definitely didn't disappoint! We were actually kinda nervous going in seeing how long the line was, people ahead of us had been told the wait was a little longer than 30 minutes! A few weeks ago, Nathaniel had downloaded this app called Nowait which has tons of restaurants on the app that you can check the wait time for and reserve a spot before you get there all from your phone. We originally had put our name down on this app for a seat that morning but we weren't really sure if it had processed but as soon as we got there and put in our name, we were seated immediately! We enjoyed breakfast, with minimal wait time, and out of there before the people who put in their name before us even had been seated! We were thoroughly impressed; this app will definitely come in handy while in the city, we've realized San Diego residents really enjoy meeting and going out for brunch, there always seems to be a wait most places you go!

Meanwhile back home, I've been loving sweet potatoes! I remember growing up my mom would cook them and I don't know what it was, I just wasn't fond of them! But we picked up a bag at Trader Joe's and I haven't been able to stop eating them; isn't it funny how things seem to come full circle after a few years?! We made some sweet potato fries earlier in the week and hash browns yesterday morning for breakfast. I have a feeling I'll be on a nonstop kick for a while, I'm enjoying finding different ways to cook them!

XOXO,
Latisha
